To be certified or have your course accredited, you need to fill out a short application (built as a course to help inform and guide you along the way) and pass quizzes within the application. The application and quizzes are not timed, so how long the process takes is up to you and your preparedness.

You can say (verbally or in writing) "The organization (or course) is IAA Accredited," or "The organization (or course) is accredited by the International Accreditation Association." You can use IAA and International Accreditation Association interchangeably. You can add the tagline "An American-based International accrediting and certifying body." When your course or organization becomes accredited, we provide you with both a certificate and a badge!

We are built on trust and attestation, similar to how many states approve organizations and how many professions certify their professionals and continuing education.
IAA does not certify or accredit schools or colleges that take Title IV funds from the U.S. government, so we do not fall under the jurisdiction of the respecitve agencies. But even so, we meet high standards of operations, and our certification and accreditation standards are robust.
